God desires your heart above all—simple, pure, childlike, undivided. Many give Him intellectual agreement while the heart stays guarded or complicated. Paul feared believers would lose the simplicity in Christ, just as Eve was deceived into complexity. Purity means singularity—focus fixed on Jesus without mixture. David kept his heart humble and quiet like a weaned child. Jesus lived with perfect childlike wonder. Four keys protect this: repent daily to keep the heart clean; walk in humility to receive grace; guard what enters through careful inputs; preserve wonder and astonishment at God. Past pain does not have to harden or define you. Identity comes from God’s word. Complication crowds out joy and trust; simplicity restores them. Refuse cynicism. Stay soft toward God and people. Let Him heal and keep your heart in the love of Christ. When the heart remains childlike, faith flows naturally and the presence of God becomes real again.
