In part three of this series, Graham Jones shares the final five of ten keys to raising children God’s way. Key six is discipline: not violence, which is abhorrent, but loving consequences, because boundaries and authority mean nothing without them. Graham recalls his godly father’s discipline and describes taking a teenager’s phone for twenty-four hours or using a naughty chair. Key seven is faith: following Mark 11:24 and the testimony of Norvel Hayes, parents should give their children to God and believe they have received the answer now, thanking Him even before they see it. Key eight is following the Holy Spirit, since every child is different and needs guidance at pivotal moments, not a formula. Key nine is inheritance: passing on a spiritual inheritance so that a parent’s ceilings become a child’s floors, and faith increases rather than diminishes through the generations. Key ten is prophetic destiny: like Moses’s parents, who saw he was special, parents can see and pray God’s calling over their children. Graham closes with a warning: never con children into believing they are born again. Raise them well, let them see a genuine spiritual life, and trust the Holy Spirit to call their name.
