God does not see the way we see, but we can learn to see the way He sees, and what we see shapes the posture of our hearts. Seeing is not purely natural. Just as computers are being trained to recognise images, we must be taught to perceive. We do not merely capture what is in front of us; we interpret it through our knowledge, experience, culture and beliefs. The twelve spies all saw the same Promised Land, yet ten saw it through the lens of “it cannot be done,” while Joshua and Caleb saw it through the lens of “our God is able.” David looked at Goliath differently because he had been looking at God, and so he saw an enemy who could not stand before the armies of the living God. Many believers treat prayer like a magic wand, asking God to change everything around them, when God’s deeper desire is to change things inside them. We don’t need to change what we see; we need to change how we see. Like the blind man who saw “men like trees, walking” and asked Jesus to touch him again, we must be honest that we have not yet seen everything. The prayer is simple: Lord, open my eyes, that I may see.

Originally from England, Evangelist Graham Jones divides his time between ministry in Europe and the USA. Graham’s heart and passion is revival and seeing the presence and power of God released back into the church.
Graham speaks in churches, conferences, universities and businesses in many different countries each year. He brings a breath of fresh air and passion to God’s people as he encourages them to come back to simple supernatural Christianity.
