We do not think enough about life. What is life? All life comes from God, not some chemical process. The Bible uses four Greek words for life, but Zoe means God’s life – the source of all life. Jesus was alive with Zoe in a way no one else was; sickness could not conquer Him. He died not like humans die; the life of God was extinguished on the cross and raised again. We have that same resurrection life. Romans 8:2 says the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus sets us free from the law of sin and death. When I could not quit smoking, someone told me to proclaim that verse every time I lit up. Within a week the habit fell off like a dead leaf – the life of God displaced the death. That life displaces cancer, colds, COVID. Believe in it, speak life. Life and death are in the tongue; align your words with heaven. Selah.
